1) Cook some pasta.
2) Rub pesto on a piece of beef and grill. Slice the meat after it's done.
3) Slice some tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. If you want to go for presentation arrange in alternating pieces. You have just made caprese salad, kind of.
4) Put pasta on plate next to the caprese salad and arrange the sliced pesto steak on top.
5) Drizzle the whole thing with pesto and, for extra credit, chopped basil and toasted pine nuts.
