Bootie Call

Today, I saw these pair of ankle booties at Target.

Aren't they cute? They looked good with skinny jeans and they were pretty comfortable. I did not pick them up, however, because they're $30.

I know $30 isn't a lot for a pair of shoes but it is a lot for fake leather Target shoes, you know? Besides, as comfy as they are, they're not stand on my feet for a really long time comfy, which means I can't really wear them to work. I have enough shoes that I can only wear 2 days out of the week.

Sigh~ I remember when I used to wear heels. In high school my favorite pair of shoes were these 5" platforms. I wish I still had them... Hell, even if I did, I would probably still wear flats. I can't remember the last time I wore heels.

I love heels, I think they're gorgeous but flats are just easier. I will try to wear more heels so that if I am ever confronted with a cute pair of $30 heels I can justify buying them. "Sure it's $30 for fake leather shoes from Target but I'll wear it all the time! Totally worth it!"

The sad part is I spent more than $30 eating crappy mall food during work last week. I really have to figure out a cheaper lunch alternative. Augh, the Nordstrom at my new mall is so far away from my store and the food court is right around the corner! Sigh... I just need to stop being lazy. I wonder how much they charge for milk here. Everything cost more in MD- yet another reason to hate that God forsaken state.

I did pick up a pair of shoes...

A pair of real leather loafers on clearance for $7!

I'm still in kind of an androgynous phase right now so I'm excited to wear it with like a girl version of this, except maybe with a bow tie or an ascot.
